* Open Office is an excellent replacement for Microsoft Office and it is free.
This is the Implementation element draft in the old format for reference only and will probably not be updated. (July 10, 2008)

Under Category 3: Future Implementation Steps point two " In annual or five-year increments, the Town will reevaluate this Land Use Plan noting
its strengths and weaknesses and thereby amending this Plan to coincide with the
Vision of the Town and the changing times. At the time of that regular evaluation, the
Town shall also evaluate and measure “the local governmental unit’s progress toward
achieving all aspects of the comprehensive plan” and note the conclusions for the
record. This “measurement” is required by statute."
I would suggest adding steps that the town board would have to make to amend the plan. Wording similar to this might be added.
In annual or five-year increments, the Town will reevaluate this Land Use Plan noting
its strengths and weaknesses and thereby amending this Plan to coincide with the
Vision of the Town and the changing times. In the event that an amendment to the plan would be desirable
a rigorous plan amendment process will be followed to ensure thorough consideration and a high
degree of public involvement. At a minimum any plan amendment must be
submitted sixty (60) days in advance of its first consideration by the
Plan Commission. A proposed change will include a property survey, a graphical
depiction of any proposed development or site improvements, a letter of intent, and
description of the requested plan amendment. A public hearing will be held before the
Plan Commission. The public hearing will be noticed by a Class II notice and all Tow
property owners will be notified by mail.
