Budget proposals approved by the Town of Concord for the 2008 year: $261,025.00
for highway expenses and a 3.86% levy with a town tax of 2.008 mil per thousand.
Sally Williams was appointed as the new secretary for the Plan Committee by the
Concord Town Board at it's Monday night meeting. Williams replaces resigning
secretary, Diana Radtke. Plan meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of every
month at the Town of Concord Community Center at 7:00 PM. Anyone wishing to
be on the Plan Commission's agenda should contact her one week prior to the meetings
at 920-206-1994. The Plan Committee will meet 12-18 at the Town of Concord Community Cent'
A deputy from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department addressed the residents
of any concerns. Speed continues to remain a problem on Highway E.
A zoning request for Barbara Zastrow of W518 Alien Rd was approved to rezone a
five acre parcel to natural resources, along with a request for a conditional
use permit to have large animals on a one acre parcel of high ground.
Other business:
1) A letter of resignation was received from Howard Webb, former highway foreman
2) Second reading of the Impact Fee Ordinance
3) Accepted a one year contract with Sullivan Fire Department, along with the 2008
Fire Contract for Johnson Creek. The renewal fire contract for Ixonia was tabled.
4) Bill Ingersoll appointed as Emergency Government Director
5) The Comprehensive Plan meeting scheduled for January 1, 2008 cancelled due to the
Holiday
6) Book closing will be held December 27 at 7:00 PM at the Town of Concord Community Center
7) Cindy Arbiture presented the board with a check of $400 for fuel usage of the
old town hall, acting on behalf of the Concord Historical Society
The board went into closed session to discuss wages for emergency snow plowers, along
with compensation for the Plan Commission secretary. Emergency snow plowers will
receive $20 per hour, and the Plan secretary will be compensated $25.
