Four members of the Concord Park & Plan Committee walked out of Monday
night's Town of Concord's monthly meeting, after announcing their resignation.
Chairman, Richard Reinders, Jay Lieblang, Marian Speerless, and David Meyer,
resigned their positions effective immediately.
Controversy arose over the second reading and action on the Subdivision
Ordinance, as presented to the board by the Park & Plan Committee. The newly
elected board, consisting of Chairman, Bill Ingersoll, and Supervisors,
David Janquart and Dennis Stair tabled the ordinance for the present.
A public hearing was held pertaining to the regulation and land use control
of the Non-Metallic Mineral Extraction Ordinance. The Ordinance contained the
elimination of "blasting", which was repealed and put back into the ordinance.
Dennis Stair reported on the highway report; replacement of signs and posts,
along with cemetery and park mowing are in full swing. A willow tree on Hillside
Drive near Church Drive needs trimming, as tree branches are hanging on to the
road. Morris Gennerman requested a "Hidden Drive" sign erected near N7214
Woody Lane.
Four representatives from Summit Harvest Church approached the board of rental
of the Community Center for Sunday worship services from 8-1, along with the
use of the Senior Center room. Services have already been held by the group
at the Community Center. Legal Counsel will be sought for continuous hosting
of the services.
Donna Haugom, addressed the panel of an Emergency Plan in the event of a County-
wide disaster; Trent Heinzel was granted a garage variance at the corner
of Elm Drive and Alien Road; Grant Oestreich spoke on the future controlled
burn by the Ixonia Fire Department, of a farm house. The property is located
on the former Earl Oestreich farm; Roxanne Butler was granted a picnic
license for the Concord Baseball Association; contract revisions were approved
for Ruekert & Mieike Comprehensive Planner-, Jack Bender's license renewal
of a Used Car Lot located on Concord Center Drive was granted for another year;
The Methodist Church's annual rummage sale August 16, 17 & 18th at the Concord
Community Center was granted.
Open Book will be held May 31 at the Concord Community Center from 2-6PM.
The proposed date of the Board of Review is scheduled for June 20th from
6-8 PM.
