Transfer site sets new hours, rates

Town of lxonia - New hours and fees have now gone into effect at the Ixonia-Concord transfer site.
The site is now open year-round on Saturdays from 8 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
 The site user fee is $1. 
Garbage is 50 cents per 30-gallon bag with a $3 minimum. 
Truckloads are charged by volume based on a. visual inspection with a $5 minimum. 
Construction debris is charged by volume with a cost of $80 per-dumpster. 
Sofas, mattresses and box springs are taken for $10.
Car tires cost. $3, truck tires are $6, tractor tires are $25 and heavy-duty equipment tires are $45. There is a $5 extra charge for rims.
Iron, steel or aluminum must have all wood, rubber, plastic or other debris removed.
The cost for dropping wood is $5 per truckload.
The transfer site will no longer accept lead acid batteries, brush and clean wood that is burnable, appliances or yard waste.
